एवं करमेण सर्वांस तान आश्रमान दानवास तदा निशायां परिधावन्ति मत्ता भुजबलाश्रयात कालॊपसृष्टाः कालेया घनन्तॊ दविज गनान बहून ॥ ३-१००-६ ॥
'Thus, those Danavas, the Kaleyas, intoxicated by their martial prowess and nearing the end of their lives, stealthily invaded the asylums of the Rishis under the cover of night, slaughtering countless Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-100-6 ॥
english translation
evaM karameNa sarvAMsa tAna AzramAna dAnavAsa tadA nizAyAM paridhAvanti mattA bhujabalAzrayAta kAlòpasRSTAH kAleyA ghanantò davija ganAna bahUna ॥ 3-100-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चैनान अन्वबुध्यन्त मनुजा मनुजॊत्तम एवं परवृत्तान दैत्यांस तांस तापसेषु तपस्विषु ॥ ३-१००-७ ॥
'And, O best of men, despite their brutal actions against the ascetics in the forest retreats, no one was able to uncover their whereabouts.' ॥ 3-100-7 ॥

na cainAna anvabudhyanta manujA manujòttama evaM paravRttAna daityAMsa tAMsa tApaseSu tapasviSu ॥ 3-100-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरभाते समदृश्यन्त नियताहार कर्शिताः महीतलस्था मुनयः शरीरैर गतजीवितैः ॥ ३-१००-८ ॥
'Each morning, the people beheld the lifeless bodies of the emaciated Munis, victims of their austere diets, strewn across the ground.' ॥ 3-100-8 ॥

parabhAte samadRzyanta niyatAhAra karzitAH mahItalasthA munayaH zarIraira gatajIvitaiH ॥ 3-100-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकषीणमांसैर विरुधिरैर विमज्जान्त्रैर विसंधिभिः आकीर्णैर आचिता भूमिः शङ्खानाम इव राशिभिः ॥ ३-१००-९ ॥
'Many of these corpses were fleshless and bloodless, devoid of marrow and entrails, with limbs severed from one another. Scattered across the ground were heaps of bones, resembling piles of conch shells.' ॥ 3-100-9 ॥

'The earth was strewn with the remnants of broken jars and shattered ladles used for pouring ghee, alongside the sacred fires tended by the ascetics.' ॥ 3-100-10 ॥
