चारुपद्मपलाशाक्षीं मन्मथस्य रतीम इव इष्टां सर्वस्य जगतः पूर्णचन्द्रप्रभाम इव ॥ ३-६५-११ ॥
'With eyes like the beautiful petals of a lotus, like Rati to Manmatha, Beloved by all the world, like the radiance of the full moon.' ॥ 3-65-11 ॥
english translation
cArupadmapalAzAkSIM manmathasya ratIma iva iSTAM sarvasya jagataH pUrNacandraprabhAma iva ॥ 3-65-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविदर्भसरसस तस्माद दैवदॊषाद इवॊद्धृताम मलपङ्कानुलिप्ताङ्गीं मृणालीम इव तां भृशम ॥ ३-६५-१२ ॥
'Yet, like a lotus stem uprooted from the serene waters of Vidarbha and now stained with mud, she seems to have fallen victim to cruel fate.' ॥ 3-65-12 ॥

vidarbhasarasasa tasmAda daivadòSAda ivòddhRtAma malapaGkAnuliptAGgIM mRNAlIma iva tAM bhRzama ॥ 3-65-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपौर्णमासीम इव निशां राहुग्रस्तनिशाकराम पतिशॊकाकुलां दीनां शुष्कस्रॊतां नदीम इव ॥ ३-६५-१३ ॥
'Overwhelmed with sorrow for her husband, she resembles the full moon night when Rahu has eclipsed the radiant orb, or like a stream whose waters have run dry.' ॥ 3-65-13 ॥

'Her condition resembles that of a ravaged lake, where the lotus leaves are crushed beneath the weight of elephants, and the birds are terrified by the intrusion.' ॥ 3-65-14 ॥

vidhvastaparNakamalAM vitrAsitavihaMgamAma hastihastaparikliSTAM vayAkulAma iva padminIma ॥ 3-65-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुकुमारीं सुजाताङ्गीं रत्नगर्भगृहॊचिताम दह्यमानाम इवॊष्णेन मृणालीम अचिरॊद्धृताम ॥ ३-६५-१५ ॥
'This girl, with her delicate form and lovely limbs, who deserves to reside in a gem-adorned mansion, now appears as an uprooted lotus-stalk, scorched by the relentless sun.' ॥ 3-65-15 ॥
