वयं हि सह कृष्णेन हत्वा कर्ण मुखान परान सवबाहुविजितां कृत्स्नां परशासेम वसुंधराम ॥ ३-४९-११ ॥
'Indeed, with Krishna's aid, by slaying our foes led by Karna, we will be able to rule over the entire earth, conquered by our own strength.' ॥ 3-49-11 ॥
english translation
भवतॊ दयूतदॊषेण सर्वे वयम उपप्लुताः अहीन पौरुषा राजन बलिभिर बलवत्तमाः ॥ ३-४९-१२ ॥
'Endowed with manliness, we are nonetheless overwhelmed by calamities due to your gambling vice, while the foolish sons of Dhritarashtra grow stronger from the tributes gathered from the dependent kings.' ॥ 3-49-12 ॥
english translation
कषात्रं धर्मं महाराज समवेक्षितुम अर्हसि न हि धर्मॊ महाराज कषत्रियस्य वनाश्रयः राज्यम एव परं धर्मं कषत्रियस्य विदुर बुधाः ॥ ३-४९-१३ ॥
'O mighty monarch, it is your duty to uphold the responsibilities of a Kshatriya. O great king, living in the woods is not the path of a Kshatriya. The wise believe that ruling is the foremost duty of a Kshatriya.' ॥ 3-49-13 ॥

स कषत्रधर्मविद राजन मा धर्म्यान नीनशः पथः पराग दवादश समा राजन धार्तराष्ट्रान निहन्महि ॥ ३-४९-१४ ॥
'O king, you are well-versed in Kshatriya morality; therefore, do not stray from the path of duty. Turning away from the woods, let us summon Partha and Janardana to slay the sons of Dhritarashtra, even before the twelve years are complete.' ॥ 3-49-14 ॥

निवर्त्य च वनात पार्थम आनाय्य च जनार्दनम वयूढानीकान महाराज जवेनैव महाहवे धार्तराष्ट्रान अमुं लॊकं गमयामि विशां पते ॥ ३-४९-१५ ॥
'O illustrious monarch, O king of kings, even if the Dhartarashtras are surrounded by soldiers in battle formation, I shall send them to the other world through sheer might.' ॥ 3-49-15 ॥
