कर्तव्ये पुरुषव्याघ्र किम आस्से पीठ सर्पवत बुद्ध्या वीर्येण संयुक्तः शरुतेनाभिजनेन च ॥ ३-३६-२१ ॥
'O tiger among men, thou possessest intelligence, prowess, learning, and noble birth. Why then, in performing thy duties, dost thou act like a huge serpent that lies motionless?' ॥ 3-36-21 ॥
english translation
तृणानां मुष्टिनैकेन हिमवन्तं तु पर्वतम छन्नम इच्छसि कौन्तेय यॊ ऽसमान संवर्तुम इच्छसि ॥ ३-३६-२२ ॥
'O son of Kunti, he who wishes to conceal us is like one who attempts to hide the great Himavat mountains with a mere handful of grass.' ॥ 3-36-22 ॥
english translation
अज्ञातचर्या गूढेन पृथिव्यां विश्रुतेन च दिवीव पार्थ सूर्येण न शक्या चरितुं तवया ॥ ३-३६-२३ ॥
'O son of Pritha, since you are renowned throughout the world, living incognito is as impossible for you as the sun traveling the sky without being seen by men.' ॥ 3-36-23 ॥
english translation
बृहच छाल इवानूपे शाखा पुष्पपलाशवान हस्ती शवेत इवाज्ञातः कथं जिष्णुश चरिष्यति ॥ ३-३६-२४ ॥
'Like a grand tree with spreading branches and abundant flowers in a lush region, or like the mighty elephant of Indra, how can Jishnu remain unnoticed?' ॥ 3-36-24 ॥

इमौ च सिंहसंकाशौ भरातरौ सहितौ शिशू नकुलः सहदेवश च कथं पार्थ चरिष्यतः ॥ ३-३६-२५ ॥
'How will these brothers, Nakula and Sahadeva, both as mighty as young lions, live in secrecy?' ॥ 3-36-25 ॥
