वैद्युतॊ जाठरश चागिर ऐन्धनस तेजसां पतिः धर्मध्वजॊ वेद कर्ता वेदाङ्गॊ वेद वाहनः ।। ३-३-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'The sun is also known as Vaidyuta, Jāṭhara, Āgni, Tejasāṁ Pati, Dharmadhvaja, Veda Karta, Vedaṅga, and Veda Vāhana, reflecting its roles as a deity of lightning, digestion, fire, the lord of light, the banner of righteousness, the creator of the Vedas, and the bearer of Vedic knowledge.' ।। 3-3-21 ।।

vaidyutò jATharaza cAgira aindhanasa tejasAM patiH dharmadhvajò veda kartA vedAGgò veda vAhanaH || 3-3-21 ||

कृतं तरेता दवापरश च कलिः सर्वामराश्रयः कला काष्ठा मुहुर्ताश च पक्षा मासा ऋतुस तथा ।। ३-३-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'The sun governs the four Yugas: Krita, Treta, Dvāpara, and Kali, and is the refuge of all deities. It also presides over the units of time such as Kalā (the divisions of time), Kāṣṭhā (the smaller divisions of the day), Muhūrta (a period of approximately 48 minutes), Pākṣa (a fortnight), Māsā (a month), and Ṛtus (seasons).' ।। 3-3-22 ।।

kRtaM taretA davAparaza ca kaliH sarvAmarAzrayaH kalA kASThA muhurtAza ca pakSA mAsA Rtusa tathA || 3-3-22 ||

'The sun, who is the creator of the years (Saṃvatsara), the eternal Ashvattha (sacred fig tree), the wheel of time (Kālachakra), and the luminary (Vibhāvasu), is also known as the eternal person (Purusha), the eternal (Shāśvata), the yogi, and the manifest and unmanifest (Vyaktavyakta), embodying the eternal and perpetual essence.' ।। 3-3-23 ।।

'The sun, who is the guardian of the world (Lokādhyakṣa), the lord of creatures (Prajādhyakṣa), the cosmic architect (Viśvakarmā), the dispeller of darkness (Tamonuda), the deity of the oceans (Varuṇa), the ocean itself (Sāgara), the radiant one (Aṃśu), the cloud (Jīmūta), the source of life (Jīvana), and the destroyer of enemies (Arihā), embodies numerous sacred and powerful attributes.' ।। 3-3-24 ।।

lòkAdhyakSaH parajAdhyakSò vizvakarmA tamònudaH varuNaH sAgarò 'Mzuza ca jImUtò jIvanò 'rihA || 3-3-24 ||

'The sun, who is the shelter of all beings (Bhūtāśraya), the lord of all beings (Bhūtapati), worshiped by all creatures (Sarvabhūtanisevita), the jewel (Maṇi), the golden one (Suvarṇa), the origin of all beings (Bhūtādi), the fulfiller of desires (Kāmada), and the universal face (Sarvato Mukha), encompasses a multitude of divine qualities and forms.' ।। 3-3-25 ।।
