संवत्सरकरॊ ऽशवत्थः कालचक्रॊ विभावसुः पुरुषः शाश्वतॊ यॊगी वयक्ताव्यक्तः सनातनः ॥ ३-३-२३ ॥
'The sun, who is the creator of the years (Saṃvatsara), the eternal Ashvattha (sacred fig tree), the wheel of time (Kālachakra), and the luminary (Vibhāvasu), is also known as the eternal person (Purusha), the eternal (Shāśvata), the yogi, and the manifest and unmanifest (Vyaktavyakta), embodying the eternal and perpetual essence.' ॥ 3-3-23 ॥
