'As the swarms of Citrasena's warriors rushed impetuously to the field, the earth itself was soon covered by the host of Gandharvas.' ।। 3-230-16 ।।

'Then King Duryodhana, along with Shakuni, the son of Suvala, Dushasana, Vikarna, and the other sons of Dhritarashtra, mounted their chariots, whose wheel clatter resembled the roars of Garuda. Following Karna's lead, they returned to the charge and began to slaughter the Gandharva host.' ।। 3-230-17 ।।

'And again, placing Karna at the forefront, they quickly engaged in battle, with the great sound of chariots and also with cavalry. Desiring to protect the son of Vikartana (Karna), they held back the Gandharvas.' ।। 3-230-18 ।।

'The entire Gandharva host then engaged in a fierce battle with the Kauravas. The clash between the two forces was intense and so terrifying that it could make one’s hair stand on end.' ।। 3-230-19 ।।
