तान दृष्ट्वा दरवतः सर्वान धार्तराष्ट्रान पराङ्मुखान वैकर्तनस तदा वीरॊ नासीत तत्र पराङ्मुखः ॥ ३-२३०-११ ॥
'And seeing the Kuru soldiers fleeing from the field with their backs turned to the enemy, the heroic Radheya alone did not retreat.' ॥ 3-230-11 ॥
english translation
आपतन्तीं तु संप्रेक्ष्य गन्धर्वाणां महाचमूम महता शरवर्षेण राधेयः परत्यवारयत ॥ ३-२३०-१२ ॥
'And seeing the mighty host of the Gandharvas rushing toward him, Radheya, with a flawless shower of arrows, held them at bay.' ॥ 3-230-12 ॥
english translation
कषुरपैर विशिखैर भल्लैर वत्सदन्तैस तथायसैः गन्धर्वाञ शतशाभ्यघ्नँल लघुत्वात सूतनन्दनः ॥ ३-२३०-१३ ॥
'The son of the Suta, known for his swift and skillful handling of weapons, struck hundreds of Gandharvas with razor-sharp arrows, Bhallas, and weapons made of bone and steel.' ॥ 3-230-13 ॥

पातयन्न उत्तमाङ्गानि गन्धर्वाणां महारथाः कषणेन वयधमत सर्वां चित्रसेनस्य वाहिनीम ॥ ३-२३०-१४ ॥
'That mighty warrior, causing the heads of numerous Gandharvas to fall in a short time, brought the ranks of Citrasena to a state of anguish and disarray.' ॥ 3-230-14 ॥

ते वध्यमाना गन्धर्वाः सूतपुत्रेण धीमता भूय एवाभ्यवर्तन्त शतशॊ ऽथ सहस्रशः ॥ ३-२३०-१५ ॥
'And although they were slain in great numbers by Karna, endowed with great wisdom, the Gandharvas, undeterred, returned to the charge in their hundreds and thousands.' ॥ 3-230-15 ॥
