ततॊ ऽपरैर अवार्यन्त गन्धर्वैः कुरु सैनिकाः ते वार्यमाणा गन्धर्वैः साम्नैव वसुधाधिप तान अनादृत्य गन्धर्वांस तद वनं विविशुर महत ॥ ३-२३०-६ ॥
'But as the Kuru soldiers advanced, other Gandharvas emerged and barred their path. Though the Gandharvas gently forbade their advance, the Kuru soldiers, paying them no heed, began to enter the vast forest.' ॥ 3-230-6 ॥
english translation
यदा वाचा न तिष्ठन्ति धार्तराष्ट्राः सराजकाः ततस ते खेचराः सर्वे चित्रसेने नयवेदयन ॥ ३-२३०-७ ॥
'When the rangers of the sky saw that the warriors of Dhritarashtra, along with their king, could not be deterred by words, they all went to their king, Citrasena, and reported everything to him.' ॥ 3-230-7 ॥

गन्धर्वराजस तान सर्वान अब्रवीत कौरवान परति अनार्याञ शासतेत्य एवं चित्रसेनॊ ऽतयमर्षणः ॥ ३-२३०-८ ॥
'When Citrasena, the king of the Gandharvas, learned of all this, he was filled with rage. Addressing his followers, he commanded, "Punish these wicked and unrighteous Kauravas."' ॥ 3-230-8 ॥

अनुज्ञातास तु गन्धर्वाश चित्रसेनेन भारत परगृहीतायुधाः सर्वे धार्तराष्ट्रान अभिद्रवन ॥ ३-२३०-९ ॥
'And, O Bhārata, when the Gandharvas were commanded by Citrasena, they rushed, weapons in hand, toward the ranks of the Dhritarashtra warriors.' ॥ 3-230-9 ॥
english translation
तान दृष्ट्वा पततः शीघ्रान गन्धर्वान उद्यतायुधान सर्वे ते पराद्रवन संख्ये धार्तराष्ट्रस्य पश्यतः ॥ ३-२३०-१० ॥
'And seeing the Gandharvas charging towards them with weapons raised, the Kuru warriors, at the sight of Duryodhana, fled in all directions in panic.' ॥ 3-230-10 ॥
