भूयॊ च यॊधयाम आसुः कृत्वा कर्णम अथाग्रतः महता रथघॊषेण हयचारेण चाप्य उत वैकर्तनं परीप्सन्तॊ गन्धर्वान समवारयन ।। ३-२३०-१८ ।।

sanskrit

'And again, placing Karna at the forefront, they quickly engaged in battle, with the great sound of chariots and also with cavalry. Desiring to protect the son of Vikartana (Karna), they held back the Gandharvas.' ।। 3-230-18 ।।

english translation

bhUyò ca yòdhayAma AsuH kRtvA karNama athAgrataH mahatA rathaghòSeNa hayacAreNa cApya uta vaikartanaM parIpsantò gandharvAna samavArayana || 3-230-18 ||
