शरुत्वा सवरं दवारगतस्य भर्तुः; परत्युत्थिता तिष्ठ गृहस्य मध्ये दृष्ट्वा परविष्टं तवरितासनेन; पाद्येन चैव परतिपूजय तवम ॥ ३-२२३-६ ॥
'Hearing the voice of thy lord at the gate, rise thou from thy seat and stay ready within the room. As soon as thou seest him enter, worship him by promptly offering him a seat and water to wash his feet.' ॥ 3-223-6 ॥
english translation
zarutvA savaraM davAragatasya bhartuH; paratyutthitA tiSTha gRhasya madhye dRSTvA paraviSTaM tavaritAsanena; pAdyena caiva paratipUjaya tavama ॥ 3-223-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंप्रेषितायाम अथ चैव दास्याम; उत्थाय सर्वं सवयम एव कुर्याः जानातु कृष्णस तव भावम एतं; सर्वात्मना मां भजतीति सत्ये ॥ ३-२२३-७ ॥
'And even when he commands a maidservant to do anything, rise up and do it thyself. Let Krishna understand this temper of thy mind and know that thou adorest him with all thy heart.' ॥ 3-223-7 ॥
english translation
saMpreSitAyAma atha caiva dAsyAma; utthAya sarvaM savayama eva kuryAH jAnAtu kRSNasa tava bhAvama etaM; sarvAtmanA mAM bhajatIti satye ॥ 3-223-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतवत्संनिधे यत कथयेत पतिस ते; यद्य अप्य अगुह्यं परिरक्षितव्यम का चित सपत्नी तव वासुदेवं; परत्यादिशेत तेन भवेद विरागः ॥ ३-२२३-८ ॥
'And, O Satyabhama, whatever thy lord speaks before thee, do not divulge it, even if it does not deserve to be kept secret. For if any of thy co-wives were to speak of it to Vasudeva, he might become irritated with thee.' ॥ 3-223-8 ॥
english translation
tavatsaMnidhe yata kathayeta patisa te; yadya apya aguhyaM parirakSitavyama kA cita sapatnI tava vAsudevaM; paratyAdizeta tena bhaveda virAgaH ॥ 3-223-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरियांश च रक्तांश च हितांश च भर्तुस; तान भॊजयेथा विविधैर उपायैः दवेष्यैर अपक्षैर अहितैश च तस्य; भिद्यस्व नित्यं कुहकॊद्धतैश च ॥ ३-२२३-९ ॥
'Feed thou, by every means in thy power, those that are dear and devoted to thy lord, and always seek his good. Thou shouldst, however, always keep thyself aloof from those that are hostile to and against thy lord, and seek to do him injury, as also from those that are addicted to deceit.' ॥ 3-223-9 ॥

pariyAMza ca raktAMza ca hitAMza ca bhartusa; tAna bhòjayethA vividhaira upAyaiH daveSyaira apakSaira ahitaiza ca tasya; bhidyasva nityaM kuhakòddhataiza ca ॥ 3-223-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमदं परमादं पुरुषेषु हित्वा; संयच्छ भावं परतिगृह्य मौनम परद्युम्न साम्बाव अपि ते कुमारौ; नॊपासितव्यौ रहिते कदा चित ॥ ३-२२३-१० ॥
'Foregoing all excitement and carelessness in the presence of men, conceal thy inclinations by observing silence. Thou shouldst not stay or converse in private, even with thy sons, Pradyumna and Sāmba.' ॥ 3-223-10 ॥

madaM paramAdaM puruSeSu hitvA; saMyaccha bhAvaM paratigRhya maunama paradyumna sAmbAva api te kumArau; nòpAsitavyau rahite kadA cita ॥ 3-223-10 ॥
