मदं परमादं पुरुषेषु हित्वा; संयच्छ भावं परतिगृह्य मौनम परद्युम्न साम्बाव अपि ते कुमारौ; नॊपासितव्यौ रहिते कदा चित ॥ ३-२२३-१० ॥
'Foregoing all excitement and carelessness in the presence of men, conceal thy inclinations by observing silence. Thou shouldst not stay or converse in private, even with thy sons, Pradyumna and Sāmba.' ॥ 3-223-10 ॥
