महाकुलीनाभिर अपापिकाभिः; सत्रीभिः सतीभिस तव सख्यम अस्तु चण्डाश च शौण्डाश च महाशनाश च; चौराश च दुष्टाश चपलाश च वर्ज्याः ॥ ३-२२३-११ ॥
'Thou shouldst form attachments only with such women as are high-born, sinless, and devoted to their lords. Always shun those who are wrathful, addicted to drinks, gluttonous, thievish, wicked, and fickle.' ॥ 3-223-11 ॥
