तत्र विद्या गणाः सर्वे ये के चित कविभिः कृताः यस्य कुर्वन्ति वचनं सेन्द्रा देवाश चमूमुखे ।। ३-२२१-२१ ।।

'There, all the Vidyas, those created by the sages, who perform the commands of Indra and the gods in the battlefield, are present.' ।। 3-221-21 ।।

english translation

tatra vidyA gaNAH sarve ye ke cita kavibhiH kRtAH yasya kurvanti vacanaM sendrA devAza camUmukhe || 3-221-21 ||

'The Rakshasa spirit, Pingala, who delivers the commands that are unerringly obeyed by Indra and the other gods, advanced at the front as the standard-bearer. This foremost of Rakshasas, a constant companion of Rudra, is always engaged in the cremation grounds and is favorable to all beings.' ।। 3-221-22 ।।

रुद्रं सत कर्मभिर मर्त्याः पूजयन्तीह दैवतम शिवम इत्य एव यं पराहुर ईशं रुद्रं पिनाकिनम भावैस तु विविधाकारैः पूजयन्ति महेश्वरम ।। ३-२२१-२४ ।।

'Mortals worship the god Rudra through virtuous actions, offering their devotion. He is also known as Shiva, the all-powerful lord, armed with the Pinaka bow, and is revered as Maheshvara. He is worshipped in many different forms.' ।। 3-221-24 ।।

rudraM sata karmabhira martyAH pUjayantIha daivatama zivama itya eva yaM parAhura IzaM rudraM pinAkinama bhAvaisa tu vividhAkAraiH pUjayanti mahezvarama || 3-221-24 ||
