अथ परधानामात्यस तस्याभ्याश चराः सत्रियॊ ऽपृच्छत किम अत्र परयॊजनं वर्ततेति ॥ ३-१९०-२१ ॥
'Those even near the king could not obtain an audience with him, and the chief minister, inquiring of the women who attended the king, asked, "What is it that you do here?"' ॥ 3-190-21 ॥

अथाब्रुवंस ताः सत्रियः अपूर्वम इव पश्यामॊदकं नात्र नीयतेति ॥ ३-१९०-२२ ॥
'Then those women said: 'We see this as something unprecedented - water is not being carried here.'' ॥ 3-190-22 ॥

अथामात्यॊ ऽनुदकं वनं कारयित्वॊदार वृक्षं बहुमूलपुष्पफलं रहस्य उपगम्य राजानम अब्रवीत वनम इदम उदारम अनुदकम साध्व अत्र रम्यताम इति ॥ ३-१९०-२३ ॥
'Then the minister, after having a waterless garden made with magnificent trees full of roots, flowers and fruits, approached the king privately and said: 'This is a magnificent garden without water. Please enjoy yourself here.'' ॥ 3-190-23 ॥

स तस्य वचनात तयैव सहदेव्या तद वनं पराविशत स कदा चित तस्मिन वने रम्ये तयैव सह वयवहरत अथ कषुत तृष्णार्दितः शरान्तॊ ऽतिमात्रम अतिमुक्तागारम अपश्यत ॥ ३-१९०-२४ ॥
'At the minister’s words, the king entered the forest with his beloved wife. They reveled together in the delightful surroundings of the forest. However, overcome by hunger, thirst, and fatigue, the king soon beheld a bower adorned with Madhavi creepers.' ॥ 3-190-24 ॥

तत परविश्य राजा सह परियया सुधा तलसुकृतां विमलसलिलपूर्णां वापीम अपश्यत ॥ ३-१९०-२५ ॥
'After entering there, the king along with his beloved saw a well-made pool filled with clear water.' ॥ 3-190-25 ॥
