स धर्मराजॊ मेधावी शङ्कमानॊ महद भयम दरौपदीं परिपप्रच्छ कव भीम इति भारत ॥ ३-१७६-४६ ॥
'Thereupon, O Bharata, the wise and righteous Yudhishthira, sensing some great calamity to be imminent, asked Draupadi, "Where is Bhima?"' ॥ 3-176-46 ॥

sa dharmarAjò medhAvI zaGkamAnò mahada bhayama daraupadIM paripapraccha kava bhIma iti bhArata ॥ 3-176-46 ॥

'Hearing this, Panchali informed Yudhishthira that Vrikodara had been gone for a long time. Upon this, the mighty-armed king, accompanied by Dhaumya, set out in search of him' ॥ 3-176-47 ॥

zazaMsa tasmai pAJcAlI cirayAtaM vRkòdarama sa paratasthe mahAbAhura dhaumyena sahitò nRpaH ॥ 3-176-47 ॥

'Before departing, he instructed Dhananjaya, "You must protect Draupadi," and also directed Nakula and Sahadeva to safeguard the Brahmanas.' ॥ 3-176-48 ॥

daraupadyA rakSaNaM kAryama itya uvAca dhanaMjayama nakulaM sahadevaM ca vayAdideza davijAna parati ॥ 3-176-48 ॥

'Issuing from the hermitage, the lord, Yudhishthira, the son of Kunti, followed the footprints of Bhimasena, searching for him in the vast forest. Upon reaching the east, he discovered the slain leaders of elephant herds and saw the earth marked with Bhima’s footprints.' ॥ 3-176-49 ॥

sa tasya padama unnIya tasmAda evAzramAta parabhuH dadarza pRthivIM cihnaira bhImasya paricihnitAma ॥ 3-176-49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधावतस तस्य वीरस्य मृगार्थे वातरंहसः ऊरुवातविनिर्भग्नान दरुमान वयावर्तितान पथि ॥ ३-१७६-५० ॥
'Then, seeing thousands of deer and hundreds of lions lying in the forest, the king discerned his path. Along the way, trees were scattered, uprooted by the force of the wind created by the mighty hero’s thighs, as he rushed after the deer with the speed of the wind.' ॥ 3-176-50 ॥
