तथेत्य उक्त्वा तु ते सर्वे हैडिम्ब परमुखास तदा उद्देशज्ञाः कुबेरस्य नलिन्या भरतर्षभः ।। ३-१५३-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'Thus spoken, all those present, led by Haidimba, and knowing the intent of Kuber, the son of Bharat, addressed the matter accordingly.' ।। 3-153-21 ।।

english translation

tathetya uktvA tu te sarve haiDimba paramukhAsa tadA uddezajJAH kuberasya nalinyA bharatarSabhaH || 3-153-21 ||

आदाय पाण्डवांश चैव तांश च विप्रान अनेकशः लॊमशेनैव सहिताः परययुः परीतमानसाः ।। ३-१५३-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'O best of the Bharatas, saying 'So be it,' Haidimba's son and the other Rakshasas, who knew the direction to Kubera's lotus lake, set out joyfully with Lomasa, bearing the Pandavas and many Brahmanas.' ।। 3-153-22 ।।

AdAya pANDavAMza caiva tAMza ca viprAna anekazaH lòmazenaiva sahitAH parayayuH parItamAnasAH || 3-153-22 ||

'Having shortly reached that place, they beheld the enchanting lake, adorned with Saugandhika and other lotuses, and surrounded by lush, beautiful woods.' ।। 3-153-23 ।।

'On its shores, they beheld the high-souled and fierce Bhima, along with the slaughtered Yaksas, their large eyes wide open, bodies, eyes, arms, and thighs crushed, their heads shattered.' ।। 3-153-24 ।।

taM ca bhImaM mahAtmAnaM tasyAsa tIre vayavasthirama dadRzura nihatAM caiva yakSAna suvipulekSaNAna || 3-153-24 ||

'Upon seeing the high-souled Bhima, standing on the shore of the lake with a fierce expression, his eyes fixed, biting his lip, and holding his mace aloft with both hands, he resembled Yama himself, mace in hand, at the time of the universal dissolution.' ।। 3-153-25 ।।

udyamya ca gadAM dòrbhyAM nadItIre vayavasthitama parajA saMkSepa samaye daNDahastama ivAntakama || 3-153-25 ||
