विज्ञातव्यॊ विभागेन यत्र मुह्यन्त्य अबुद्धयः धर्मॊ वै वेदितुं शक्यॊ बृहस्पतिसमैर अपि ॥ ३-१४९-२६ ॥
'Without understanding one's duties and serving the elders, even those like Brihaspati cannot fully grasp the concepts of profit and religion.' ॥ 3-149-26 ॥
english translation
vijJAtavyò vibhAgena yatra muhyantya abuddhayaH dharmò vai vedituM zakyò bRhaspatisamaira api ॥ 3-149-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअधर्मॊ यत्र धर्माख्यॊ धर्मश चाधर्मसंज्ञितः विज्ञातव्यॊ विभागेन यत्र मुह्यन्त्य अबुद्धयः ॥ ३-१४९-२७ ॥
'One must discern cases where vice is mistaken for virtue and virtue for vice—situations that confuse the unintelligent.' ॥ 3-149-27 ॥

adharmò yatra dharmAkhyò dharmaza cAdharmasaMjJitaH vijJAtavyò vibhAgena yatra muhyantya abuddhayaH ॥ 3-149-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआचार संभवॊ धर्मॊ धर्माद वेदाः समुत्थिताः वेदैर यज्ञाः समुत्पन्ना यज्ञैर देवाः परतिष्ठिताः ॥ ३-१४९-२८ ॥
'From religious observances arises merit, and from merit the Vedas are established. The Vedas give rise to sacrifices, and through sacrifices the gods are upheld.' ॥ 3-149-28 ॥

AcAra saMbhavò dharmò dharmAda vedAH samutthitAH vedaira yajJAH samutpannA yajJaira devAH paratiSThitAH ॥ 3-149-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवेदाचार विधानॊक्तैर यज्ञैर धार्यन्ति देवताः बृहस्पत्युशनॊक्तैश च नयैर धार्यन्ति मानवाः ॥ ३-१४९-२९ ॥
'The gods are sustained by the sacrifices prescribed in the Vedas and religious ordinances, while humans are sustained by following the ordinances of Brihaspati and Usanas.' ॥ 3-149-29 ॥

vedAcAra vidhAnòktaira yajJaira dhAryanti devatAH bRhaspatyuzanòktaiza ca nayaira dhAryanti mAnavAH ॥ 3-149-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपन्या करवनिज्याभिः कृष्याथॊ यॊनिपॊषणैः वार्तया धार्यते सर्वं धर्मैर एतैर दविजातिभिः ॥ ३-१४९-३० ॥
'Through trade, agriculture, and the nurturing of living beings, the world is sustained. All of this is upheld by the righteous conduct of the twice-born (Brahmins), who follow these duties.' ॥ 3-149-30 ॥
