तद गच्छ विपुलप्रज्ञ भरातुः परियहिते रतः अरिष्टं कषेमम अध्वानं वायुना परिरक्षितः ॥ ३-१४९-२१ ॥
'Now, O most wise one, devoted to the welfare of your brothers and protected by the wind-god, follow this auspicious and fortunate path.' ॥ 3-149-21 ॥
english translation
tada gaccha vipulaprajJa bharAtuH pariyahite rataH ariSTaM kaSemama adhvAnaM vAyunA parirakSitaH ॥ 3-149-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएष पन्थाः कुरुश्रेष्ठ सौगन्धिक वनाय ते दरक्ष्यसे धनदॊद्यानं रक्षितं यक्षराक्षसैः ॥ ३-१४९-२२ ॥
'O foremost of the Kurus, this way will lead you to the Saugandhika forest, where you will behold the splendid gardens of Kuvera, guarded by Yakshas and Rakshasas.' ॥ 3-149-22 ॥

eSa panthAH kuruzreSTha saugandhika vanAya te darakSyase dhanadòdyAnaM rakSitaM yakSarAkSasaiH ॥ 3-149-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन च ते तरसा कार्यः कुसुमावचयः सवयम दैवतानि हि मान्यानि पुरुषेण विशेषतः ॥ ३-१४९-२३ ॥
'Do not pluck the flowers yourself by your own strength, for the gods are to be specially revered by mortals.' ॥ 3-149-23 ॥

na ca te tarasA kAryaH kusumAvacayaH savayama daivatAni hi mAnyAni puruSeNa vizeSataH ॥ 3-149-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबलिहॊमनमस्कारैर मन्त्रैश च भरतर्षभ दैवतानि परसादं हि भक्त्या कुर्वन्ति भारत ॥ ३-१४९-२४ ॥
'O best of the Bharata race, the gods bestow their favor upon humans through offerings, sacrifices, reverential salutations, the recitation of mantras, and veneration.' ॥ 3-149-24 ॥

balihòmanamaskAraira mantraiza ca bharatarSabha daivatAni parasAdaM hi bhaktyA kurvanti bhArata ॥ 3-149-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमा तात साहसं कार्षीः सवधर्मम अनुपालय सवधर्मस्थः परं धर्मं बुध्यस्वागमयस्व च ॥ ३-१४९-२५ ॥
'Therefore, do not act rashly, O child, nor deviate from the duties of your order. Adhering to your duty, understand and follow the highest moral principles.' ॥ 3-149-25 ॥

mA tAta sAhasaM kArSIH savadharmama anupAlaya savadharmasthaH paraM dharmaM budhyasvAgamayasva ca ॥ 3-149-25 ॥
