परसीद नास्ति मे शक्तिर उत्थातुं जरयानघ ममानुकम्पया तव एतत पुच्छम उत्सार्य गम्यताम ॥ ३-१४७-१६ ॥
'Relent, O sinless one. Due to my age, I lack the strength to rise. Out of pity for me, move aside my tail and go.' ॥ 3-147-16 ॥
english translation
parasIda nAsti me zaktira utthAtuM jarayAnagha mamAnukampayA tava etata pucchama utsArya gamyatAma ॥ 3-147-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसावज्ञम अथ वामेन समयञ जग्राह पाणिना न चाशकच चालयितुं भीमः पुच्छं महाकपेः ॥ ३-१४७-१७ ॥
'Then, with a show of disdain, Bhima grasped Hanuman's tail with his left hand, but he was unable to move the mighty tail of the great monkey.' ॥ 3-147-17 ॥

sAvajJama atha vAmena samayaJa jagrAha pANinA na cAzakaca cAlayituM bhImaH pucchaM mahAkapeH ॥ 3-147-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउच्चिक्षेप पुनर दॊर्भ्याम इन्द्रायुधम इवॊत्श्रितम नॊद्धर्तुम अशकद भीमॊ दॊर्भ्याम अपि महाबलः ॥ ३-१४७-१८ ॥
'Then, with both arms, he tried to lift it, resembling a pole erected in honor of Indra. Yet, the mighty Bhima could not raise the tail, despite his full strength.' ॥ 3-147-18 ॥

uccikSepa punara dòrbhyAma indrAyudhama ivòtzritama nòddhartuma azakada bhImò dòrbhyAma api mahAbalaH ॥ 3-147-18 ॥

'His eyebrows furrowed, his eyes rolled, his face wrinkled with effort, and his body was covered in sweat—but still, he could not lift it.' ॥ 3-147-19 ॥

utkSipta bharUra vivRttAkSaH saMhatabhrukutI mukhaH savinna gatrò 'bhavada bhImò na còddhartuM zazAka ha ॥ 3-147-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयत्नवान अपि तु शरीमाँल लाङ्गूलॊद्धरणॊद्धुतः कपेः पार्श्वगतॊ भीमस तस्थौ वरीडाद अधॊमुखः ॥ ३-१४७-२० ॥
'After straining with all his might and failing to lift the tail, the illustrious Bhima approached the side of the monkey, his face filled with embarrassment.' ॥ 3-147-20 ॥
