तां पश्यमानॊ विजने स रेमे परमद्युतिः कषाम कण्ठश च बरह्मर्षिस तपॊबलसमन्वितः ताम आबभाषे कल्याणीं सा चास्य न शृणॊति वै ।। ३-१२२-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Seeing her alone in the solitary forest, the ascetic of immense radiance was filled with desire. This regenerate sage, endowed with the power of his austerities and with a voice low and gentle, called out to the auspicious maiden, yet she did not hear him.' ।। 3-122-11 ।।

english translation

tAM pazyamAnò vijane sa reme paramadyutiH kaSAma kaNThaza ca barahmarSisa tapòbalasamanvitaH tAma AbabhASe kalyANIM sA cAsya na zRNòti vai || 3-122-11 ||

'What is this?" she exclaimed, and with thorns, she pierced the sage's eyes. As the thorns pricked him, he felt intense pain and was filled with rage. In his fury, he obstructed the calls of nature for Saryati's forces, causing great distress among the men.' ।। 3-122-13 ।।

kiM nu khalva idama itya uktvA nirbibhedAsya lòcane akrudhyata sa tayA viddhe netre paramamanyumAna tataH zaryAti sainyasya zakRna mUtraM samAvRNòta || 3-122-13 ||

'Then, when the feces and urine were obstructed, the king summoned the distressed army. Looking at the arrived one, he inquired.' ।। 3-122-14 ।।

'What has been done today to the great Bhargava (Parashurama) by someone, especially to the aggrieved old Rosha (Rama)? If known or unknown, speak the truth without delay.' ।। 3-122-15 ।।
