महास्कन्धो भृशं होष परशुर्न भविष्यति । कर्तु चाहं न शक्ष्यामि कर्म सद्धिर्विगर्हितम् ॥ ५-९-३० ॥
The woodcutter replied, ‘His shoulders are extremely broad and my axe will not be able to cut through. Besides, I am incapable of performing a deed that is condemned by the virtous.’
english translation
mahAskandho bhRzaM hoSa parazurna bhaviSyati । kartu cAhaM na zakSyAmi karma saddhirvigarhitam ॥ 5-9-30 ॥
