Bhīṣma said: Acala and Vṛṣaka—two brothers standing together—are your formidable chariot-warriors, hard to overcome; they will crush the enemy hosts.

english translation

They are strong—tigers among men—unyielding in wrath and resolve, deadly in assault; foremost among the Gandhāras, youthful, splendid to behold, and of great might.

english translation

This one—ever your beloved friend—harsh in battle, ceaselessly urges you, O King, toward enmity and war with the Pāṇḍavas.

english translation

Karna Vaikartana—your minister, commander, and kinsman—is harsh of speech, boastful, and base in conduct; and he is fiercely proud and overbearing.

english translation

This man is neither a fully equipped chariot-warrior nor an atiratha, O King. Severed from his innate armor, he is thereby diminished; and he is also bereft of his divine earrings—an object of abiding pity.
