Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: O Sañjaya, surrounded by princes and also by ministers, Mādhusūdana departed, having seated Karṇa upon the chariot.

english translation

What did the slayer of enemy champions say to Rādheya upon the chariot-seat? What conciliatory arguments did Govinda employ toward the charioteer’s son?

english translation

At that time, with a voice like the sound of massed storm-clouds, whatever Kṛṣṇa said to Karṇa—whether gentle or sharp—tell that to me, O Sañjaya.

english translation

Sañjaya said: In due sequence, he spoke statements that were polished and gentle—pleasing, aligned with dharma, truthful, and beneficial.

english translation

Listen, O Bhārata, to those heart-compelling words that Madhusūdana, of immeasurable spirit, spoke to Rādheya (Karṇa).
