Śalya said: Then, upon seeing her, Nahuṣa—then ruling among the gods—spoke: “O you of pure smile, I am Indra for the three worlds. Accept me, O fair-hipped one, as your husband, O woman of excellent complexion.”

english translation

Thus addressed by Nahuṣa, the goddess—devoted to her husband—trembled in fear, like a plantain tree shaken by the wind.

english translation

She bowed in reverence to Brahmā, raising her joined palms to her head; then she addressed Nahuṣa, king of the gods, whose form was formidable.

english translation

O lord of the gods, grant me a little time; for it is not known whether Śakra has arrived, what has occurred, or where he has gone.

english translation

If, after ascertaining the truth of this matter, it still cannot be known, then I will attend upon you—this I tell you truthfully. When Indrāṇī spoke thus, Nahuṣa was pleased.
