शत्रुः प्रवृद्धो नोपेक्ष्यो दुर्बलोडपि बलीयसा। शास्त्रबुद्ध्या विनिश्ित्य कृत्वा बुद्धि वधे दृढाम्‌ू । ५-९-२२ ॥

'One who is stronger must not ignore a weak enemy who is strengthening.’ Deciding on a course of action that was in accordance with the sacred texts, he firmly made up his mind to kill him.

english translation

zatruH pravRddho nopekSyo durbaloDapi balIyasA। zAstrabuddhyA vinizitya kRtvA buddhi vadhe dRDhAm‌U । 5-9-22 ॥
