शममिच्छति दाशार्हस्तव दुर्योधनस्य च । पाण्डवानां च राजेन्द्र तदस्य वचनं कुरु॥५-८५-१६॥
The Dāśārha seeks reconciliation between you, Duryodhana, and the Pāṇḍavas, O lord of kings; therefore, act in accordance with his counsel.

पितासि राजन्पुत्रास्ते वृद्धस्त्वं शिशवः परे । वर्तस्व पितृवत्तेषु वर्तन्ते ते हि पुत्रवत्॥५-८५-१७॥
You are as a father, O King; they are as your sons. You are the elder, while the others are as children. Conduct yourself toward them as a father, for they will conduct themselves as sons.
