परवारणं तु बालानां पूर्वं कार्यम इति शरुतिः तस्मात परवारणं पूर्वम अर्हः पार्थॊ धनंजयः ॥ ५-७-१५ ॥

sanskrit

‘But it is also said that those who are junior in age are entitled to the first choice. Therefore, the son of Kunti, Dhananjaya, has the right to choose first.’ ॥ 5-7-15 ॥

english translation

paravAraNaM tu bAlAnAM pUrvaM kAryama iti zarutiH tasmAta paravAraNaM pUrvama arhaH pArthò dhanaMjayaH ॥ 5-7-15 ॥
