Duryodhana said: “Both sides are our own kinsmen, and both are warriors who tread upon this earth. Why then do you think victory will belong to the Pāṇḍavas alone?”

english translation

And Bhīṣma the grandsire, and Droṇa, and Kṛpa, and Karṇa—hard to overcome—along with Jayadratha, Somadatta, and Aśvatthāman as well.

english translation

Even Indra, accompanied by the immortals, is unable to conquer those noble-minded great archers in battle; how much less then, O dear one, the Pāṇḍavas?

english translation

Indeed, O dear one, the whole earth was created for my sake—so as to crush the Pāṇḍavas: those noble, steadfast heroes, blazing like fire.

english translation

Those Pāṇḍavas are not capable of even facing my men. For I am full of valor, and I will fight Pāṇḍu’s sons—together with their followers—in battle.
