After neutralizing the Dhartarashtras together with Karna, I will secure the entire sovereignty of the Kurus. Do what each of you must do; in accordance with your own station, enjoy what is dear—your spouses and your children.

english translation

Moreover, we have elderly brahmanas—learned, of good conduct, and of noble lineage—versed in calendrical computation and also trained in astral science, with decisive knowledge of stellar configurations and conjunctions.

english translation

Various esoteric indications connected with fate—portent-like inquiries, cyclical signs, and auspicious time-moments—report a great diminution of the Kuru-Srinjayas and also the victory of the Pandavas.

english translation

Thus does Ajātaśatru (Yudhiṣṭhira) judge: the aim is already secured for the curbing of hostile forces. And Janārdana too—whose knowledge is immediate and direct—perceives no doubt, that lion among the Vṛṣṇis.

english translation

I too know the shape the future will assume; vigilant myself, I discern it by reason. And my long-standing perception does not waver: the Dhārtarāṣṭras will not endure in sustained battle.
