Without being taken up, the Gāṇḍīva bow seems to tense; without being grasped, my bowstring trembles. And my arrows, as if loosed from the mouth of the quiver, again and again appear eager to go forth.

english translation

The sword slips from its sheath, bright and clear, like a serpent casting off its worn skin. From the banner, fierce-sounding voices seem to speak: “When will your chariot be yoked, O Kirīṭin?”

english translation

At night, packs of jackals cry out, and rākṣasas too seem to dart across the sky. Deer, jackals, dark-necked crows, vultures, herons, and hyenas are seen as well.

english translation

And birds of prey descend behind, having seen the chariot drawn by white horses. For I alone, showering arrows, could send all warrior-kings to the realm of death.

english translation

Taking up distinct courses of weaponry, like a fire kindled in the dry season consuming a thicket, I would employ the Sthūṇākarṇa, the formidable Pāśupata, and the Brahmāstra which even Śakra knows.
