When in battle he sees the chariot radiant like gold and jewels, yoked to white horses, bearing the formidable monkey-banner, and guided by Keśava, then that undisciplined and imprudent man will be deeply distressed.

When, in the great engagement, that dull-minded man hears the fierce, thunderous sound—like the impact of a lightning-bolt—raised as I draw and release the Gāṇḍīva, while the Maurvī bowstring quivers, he will be shaken.

Then the deluded son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra—ill-advised and bereft of steadfast support—will be anguished in battle, seeing his host break apart at the front, as though shrouded in darkness by dense volleys of arrows, like a herd thrown into disarray.

Like lightning bursting from a cloud—utterly ruinous in hostile encounters—when those arrows, able to shatter bone and pierce the vital points, are loosed, then the Dhārtarāṣṭra will endure grievous anguish in the engagement.

When he beholds masses of sharp-pointed arrows, released from the string of the Gāṇḍīva, descending to strike elephants, horses, and armored fighters, then the Dhārtarāṣṭra will suffer keen distress in the engagement.
