Likewise, speak to Vidura, the counsellor and bearer of counsel among the Kurus: “Speak gently for the sake of non-conflict; Yudhiṣṭhira seeks only what is beneficial.”

english translation

Then address Suyodhana, the intolerant prince: as he sits amid the Kurus, conciliate him, soothing him again and again.

english translation

“When Kṛṣṇā came alone into the assembly, you saw me remain indifferent. Let us endure that sorrow; let us not bring upon the Kurus a destruction wrought by judgment.”

english translation

Thus the Pāṇḍavas endured hardships, earlier and later, as those overborne by the stronger; the Kurus know all of this.

english translation

O gentle one, when you drove us into exile and made us dwell clad in deerskins, we endured that sorrow, thinking: “Let us not slay the Kurus.”
