Then I, with blazing arrows, cut that incoming spear—radiant like the sun at the end-time—into three parts and brought it down to the ground; thereafter a wind with a pure fragrance began to blow.

english translation

When it had been cut, Rāma—his anger inflamed—sent forth twelve other formidable spears. O Bhārata, their appearance could scarcely be described, due to their brilliance and speed.

english translation

Yet I became momentarily unsettled on seeing them coming from all directions—like great firebrands of flame—of varied forms, blazing with intense radiance, like twelve suns at the dissolution of the world.

english translation

Then, O King, I spread out a net of arrows; seeing them, I pierced through with an arrow-net. In the engagement I launched twelve arrows, and then I neutralized those formidable spears.

english translation

Then the great-souled Jāmadagnya hurled other formidable spears with golden shafts—ornamented and bound with golden fittings—blazing like great meteors.
