This great archer would never strike Pārtha (Arjuna), the unwearied doer of difficult deeds, remembering the illustrious ācārya who was won over by Arjuna’s virtues.

english translation

This hero continually praises Pārtha, setting forth the breadth of his qualities; and Bhāradvāja’s son (Droṇa) regards him as even superior to his own son.

english translation

Mighty in prowess, he could, even with a single chariot, check Devas, Gandharvas, and Dānavas—though united in battle—by means of celestial weapons.

english translation

O King, that Paurava—lion among kings—is a mahāratha on your side. In my judgment, he is a foremost fighter, a breaker of the chariots of opposing heroes.

english translation

Accompanied by his own forces and pressing the enemy host, he will overwhelm the Pāñcālas—like the course of fire consuming dry brushwood.
