I too, O mighty-armed one, for what is dear to you, O subduer of foes, made a great effort there, thinking, “May conciliation be achieved,” O Bhārata. Yet one must not speak lightly, as though the obligation of Dharma had already been fully discharged.

english translation

The immature, lacking discernment, imagines himself to have attained his ends. So too the Dhārtarāṣṭra: though inwardly unstable, he fancies himself secure in strength.

english translation

Let the army be properly arrayed; they are deemed fit to be decisively subdued. The Dhārtarāṣṭras will not be able to hold their ground upon seeing Dhanaṃjaya.

english translation

And (he spoke of) Bhīmasena, blazing with stern resolve; the twin sons (of Mādrī), like Yama himself; Yuyudhāna, without equal; and Dhṛṣṭadyumna, who cannot endure insult.

english translation

Abhimanyu; the sons of Draupadī; and also Virāṭa and Drupada; as well as other commanders of akṣauhiṇīs—kings of steadfast valor.
