यमदूतसमान्वेगे निपाते पावकोपमान् । रामेणाजौ विषहितान्वज्रनिष्पेषदारुणान्॥५-१४९-२६॥
Swift as Yama’s messengers and, in their descent, like fire—made battle-hardened by Rāma—severe as the crushing force of a thunderbolt.

पुरुषं तं न पश्यामि यः सहेत महाव्रतम् । धृष्टद्युम्नमृते राजन्निति मे धीयते मतिः॥५-१४९-२७॥
I see no man who could withstand that great-vowed one—except Dhṛṣṭadyumna, O king; such is my considered judgment.
english translation
क्षिप्रहस्तश्चित्रयोधी मतः सेनापतिर्मम । अभेद्यकवचः श्रीमान्मातङ्ग इव यूथपः॥५-१४९-२८॥
Swift-handed and versatile in combat—he is, in my view, fit to be commander: armored beyond penetration, illustrious, like an elephant leading the herd.

भीम उवाच । वधार्थं यः समुत्पन्नः शिखण्डी द्रुपदात्मजः । वदन्ति सिद्धा राजेन्द्र ऋषयश्च समागताः॥५-१४९-२९॥
Bhīma said: “Śikhaṇḍin, the son of Drupada, was born for the purpose of bringing about a decisive slaying; thus declare the Siddhas and the assembled Ṛṣis, O lord of kings.”

यस्य संग्राममध्येषु दिव्यमस्त्रं विकुर्वतः । रूपं द्रक्ष्यन्ति पुरुषा रामस्येव महात्मनः॥५-१४९-३०॥
In the midst of battle, men will behold his form as he wields celestial weapons—like the great-souled Rāma.
