These Kurus are being ruined indeed because of Duryodhana’s course of action. Act, O great king, so that they may not be destroyed.

english translation

Me, and Dhṛtarāṣṭra as well—you had earlier fashioned us, O greatly radiant one, like a painter composing an image; do not now bring us to ruin. As Prajāpati, having created beings, later withdraws them, so too (do not let such a withdrawal occur here).

english translation

Do not remain indifferent, O mighty-armed one, as you behold the destruction of the lineage. If today your judgment has failed and ruin stands close at hand, then go to the forest with me—and with Dhṛtarāṣṭra as well.

english translation

Or else, having restrained that Dhārtarāṣṭra of deceptive counsel and grievously misguided intent, let this kingdom today be properly safeguarded by the Pāṇḍavas.

english translation

Be calm, O tiger among kings; a great ruin is visible—of the Pāṇḍavas, of the Kurus, and of kings of immeasurable power.
