Through the misguided judgment of Jayadratha, Karṇa, Duḥśāsana, and Saubala (Śakuni), mutual division is being set in motion.

english translation

For by adharma the kingdom has been taken from one who is most devoted to dharma. For those responsible, this ‘dharma’—their chosen course—will bear consequences that follow on from it.

english translation

When dharma is being forcibly carried off by the Kurus, who would not be distressed? And when Keśava (Kṛṣṇa) has gone without securing an agreement, the Pāṇḍavas will undertake preparations.

english translation

Thereafter, this course of the Kurus will result in the loss of many warriors. Thinking on it, I find no sleep—neither by day nor by night.

english translation

But when Kuntī heard those words—spoken with a view to purpose and welfare—she, distressed and not desiring an unfavorable outcome, reflected upon them in her mind.
