तासु पुत्राश्च पौत्राश्च मम जाता जनार्दन । तासु मे हृदयं कृष्ण संजातं कामबन्धनम्॥५-१३९-११॥
Through them, sons and grandsons have been born to me, O Janārdana; and toward them my heart, O Kṛṣṇa, has become bound by the bonds of attachment.
english translation
न पृथिव्या सकलया न सुवर्णस्य राशिभिः । हर्षाद्भयाद्वा गोविन्द अनृतं वक्तुमुत्सहे॥५-१३९-१२॥
Not for the whole earth, nor for heaps of gold—nor from elation nor from fear, O Govinda—am I willing to speak what is untrue.
english translation
धृतराष्ट्रकुले कृष्ण दुर्योधनसमाश्रयात् । मया त्रयोदश समा भुक्तं राज्यमकण्टकम्॥५-१३९-१३॥
Within Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s lineage, O Kṛṣṇa, under Duryodhana’s patronage, I have enjoyed unimpeded royal power for thirteen years.

इष्टं च बहुभिर्यज्ञैः सह सूतैर्मयासकृत् । आवाहाश्च विवाहाश्च सह सूतैः कृता मया॥५-१३९-१४॥
I have repeatedly performed many sacrifices together with the sūtas; and together with the sūtas I have conducted invitations and marriage ceremonies.
english translation
मां च कृष्ण समाश्रित्य कृतः शस्त्रसमुद्यमः । दुर्योधनेन वार्ष्णेय विग्रहश्चापि पाण्डवैः॥५-१३९-१५॥
Relying upon me, O Kṛṣṇa, Duryodhana—O Vārṣṇeya—has undertaken military mobilization; and conflict has also been set in motion with the Pāṇḍavas.
