मत्स्नेहाच्चैव राधायाः सद्यः क्षीरमवातरत् । सा मे मूत्रं पुरीषं च प्रतिजग्राह माधव॥५-१३९-६॥
And due to Rādhā’s affection for me, milk flowed forth immediately; she attended to my urine and feces as well, O Mādhava.
english translation
तस्याः पिण्डव्यपनयं कुर्यादस्मद्विधः कथम् । धर्मविद्धर्मशास्त्राणां श्रवणे सततं रतः॥५-१३९-७॥
How could one like me—who knows dharma and is ever devoted to hearing the dharma-śāstras—commit the act of withdrawing her funerary offering?
english translation
तथा मामभिजानाति सूतश्चाधिरथः सुतम् । पितरं चाभिजानामि तमहं सौहृदात्सदा॥५-१३९-८॥
In the same way, the charioteer Adhiratha acknowledges me as his son; and I, out of enduring affection, always acknowledge him as my father.
english translation
स हि मे जातकर्मादि कारयामास माधव । शास्त्रदृष्टेन विधिना पुत्रप्रीत्या जनार्दन॥५-१३९-९॥
For it was he who had my birth-rites and other saṃskāras performed, O Mādhava, according to the procedure set forth in the śāstras, out of love for me as a son, O Janārdana.

नाम मे वसुषेणेति कारयामास वै द्विजैः । भार्याश्चोढा मम प्राप्ते यौवने तेन केशव॥५-१३९-१०॥
He had the twice-born perform my naming as ‘Vasuṣeṇa’; and when I reached youth, he arranged my marriage, O Keśava.
