नारद उवाच । तथेत्युक्त्वा द्विजश्रेष्ठः प्रादात्कन्यां महीपतेः । विधिपूर्वं च तां राजा कन्यां प्रतिगृहीतवान्॥५-११५-७॥
Nārada said: Having replied, “So be it,” the foremost of Brahmins gave the maiden to the king; and the king, in accordance with the prescribed rites, formally accepted that maiden.
