यथा नारायणो लक्ष्म्यां जाह्नव्यां च यथोदधिः । यथा रुद्रश्च रुद्राण्यां यथा वेद्यां पितामहः॥५-११५-१०॥
As Nārāyaṇa with Lakṣmī; as the Ocean with Jāhnavī (the Gaṅgā); as Rudra with Rudrāṇī; and as the Grandfather (Brahmā) with the Vedī, the Vedic altar—so was he with her.
