न जीवत्यधनः पापः कुतः पापस्य तन्त्रणम् । पापो ध्रुवमवाप्नोति विनाशं नाशयन्कृतम्॥५-१०५-११॥
A wrongdoer without resources does not truly endure; how could a wrongdoer possess stable security? One who acts harmfully surely reaches ruin, even while attempting to destroy what has been established.
english translation
सोऽहं पापः कृतघ्नश्च कृपणश्चानृतोऽपि च । गुरोर्यः कृतकार्यः संस्तत्करोमि न भाषितम् । सोऽहं प्राणान्विमोक्ष्यामि कृत्वा यत्नमनुत्तमम्॥५-१०५-१२॥
Thus am I a wrongdoer—ungrateful, miserly, and even untruthful—one who, though assigned a task by my teacher, does not carry out what was spoken. Therefore I shall relinquish my life, after making the utmost effort.

अर्थना न मया काचित्कृतपूर्वा दिवौकसाम् । मानयन्ति च मां सर्वे त्रिदशा यज्ञसंस्तरे॥५-१०५-१३॥
Never have I made any petition to the dwellers of heaven; yet at the sacrificial session all the gods honor me.
english translation
अहं तु विबुधश्रेष्ठं देवं त्रिभुवनेश्वरम् । विष्णुं गच्छाम्यहं कृष्णं गतिं गतिमतां वरम्॥५-१०५-१४॥
But I shall go to Viṣṇu—Kṛṣṇa—the foremost among the wise, the Lord of the three worlds, the supreme refuge of those who seek the path.
english translation
भोगा यस्मात्प्रतिष्ठन्ते व्याप्य सर्वान्सुरासुरान् । प्रयतो द्रष्टुमिच्छामि महायोगिनमव्ययम्॥५-१०५-१५॥
From him enjoyments are established, pervading all gods and asuras. With disciplined intent, I wish to behold that imperishable great yogin.
