तेन ते सह शक्रेण संधिर्भवतु शाश्वतः । एवं विश्वासमागच्छ मा ते भूद्बुद्धिरन्यथा ॥ ५-१०-२६॥
Therefore, let there be an enduring settlement between you and Śakra. Embrace trust in this way; let not your judgment turn to any other course.

शल्य उवाच । महर्षिवचनं श्रुत्वा तानुवाच महाद्युतिः । अवश्यं भगवन्तो मे माननीयास्तपस्विनः॥ ५-१०-२७॥
Śalya said: Having heard the utterance of the great ṛṣis, the illustrious one addressed them: “These venerable ascetics are surely worthy of honor from me.”

ब्रवीमि यदहं देवास्तत्सर्वं क्रियतामिह । ततः सर्वं करिष्यामि यदूचुर्मां द्विजर्षभाः ॥ ५-१०-२८॥
O devas, let all that I declare here be carried out. Thereafter I shall do everything that those bull-like sages among the twice-born have instructed me.

न शुष्केण न चार्द्रेण नाश्मना न च दारुणा । न शस्त्रेण न वज्रेण न दिवा न तथा निशि ॥ ५-१०-२९ ॥
Not by what is dry, nor by what is wet; not by stone, nor by wood; not by a weapon, nor by the thunderbolt—Vajra; not by day, and likewise not by night.
english translation
वध्यो भवेयं विप्रेन्द्राः शक्रस्य सह दैवतैः । एवं मे रोचते संधिः शक्रेण सह नित्यदा ॥ ५-१०-३०॥
O foremost of Brahmins, let me be liable to be slain by Śakra together with the gods; such is the settlement that pleases me—an agreement with Śakra, always.
