वेण्णायाः संगमे सनात्वा वाजपेयफलं लभेत वरदा संगमे सनात्वा गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ।। ३-८३-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'By bathing at the confluence of the Vena, one attains the merit of the Vajapeya sacrifice. Likewise, by dipping at the confluence of the Varada, one acquires the merit of donating a thousand kine.' ।। 3-83-31 ।।

english translation

veNNAyAH saMgame sanAtvA vAjapeyaphalaM labheta varadA saMgame sanAtvA gòsahasraphalaM labheta || 3-83-31 ||

'Upon arriving at Brahmasthuna, one who stays there for three nights attains the merit of donating a thousand kine and ascends to heaven.' ।। 3-83-32 ।।

barahma sathAnaM samAsAdya tarirAtrama uSitò naraH gòsahasraphalaM vindeta savargalòkaM ca gacchati || 3-83-32 ||

कुशप्लवनम आसाद्य बरह्म चारी समाहितः तरिरात्रम उषितः सनात्वा अश्वमेध फलं लभेत ।। ३-८३-३३ ।।

'Upon arriving at Kusaplavana, one who, with a subdued spirit and living a Brahmacharya lifestyle, stays there for three nights and bathes, attains the merit of the horse sacrifice.' ।। 3-83-33 ।।

english translation

kuzaplavanama AsAdya barahma cArI samAhitaH tarirAtrama uSitaH sanAtvA azvamedha phalaM labheta || 3-83-33 ||

'By bathing at the enchanting Deva Hrada, nourished by the waters of the Krishna-Venna, and also at the Jatismara Hrada, one regains the memory of their former life.' ।। 3-83-34 ।।

tatò deva harade ramye kRSNa veNNA jalòdbhave jAtimAtrahrade caiva tathA kanyAzrame nRpa || 3-83-34 ||

यत्र करतुशतैर इष्ट्वा देवराजॊ दिवं गतः अग्निष्टॊम शतं विन्देद गमनाद एव भारत ।। ३-८३-३५ ।।

'It was here that the chief of the celestials performed a hundred sacrifices and ascended to heaven. Simply by visiting that sacred spot, one attains the merit of the Agnistoma sacrifice.' ।। 3-83-35 ।।

yatra karatuzataira iSTvA devarAjò divaM gataH agniSTòma zataM vindeda gamanAda eva bhArata || 3-83-35 ||
