सर्वदेव हरदे सनात्वा गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत जातिमात्रह्रदे सनात्वा भवेज जातिस्मरॊ नरः ॥ ३-८३-३६ ॥
'By bathing in the lake of all gods, one obtains the merit of donating a thousand cows. By bathing in the lake of one's own caste, a person becomes able to remember their past lives.' ॥ 3-83-36 ॥
english translation
ततॊ ऽवाप्य महापुण्यां पयॊष्णीं सरितां वराम पितृदेवार्चन रतॊ गॊसहस्रफलं लभेत ॥ ३-८३-३७ ॥
'Next, upon reaching the highly sacred tank known as Payoshni, the best of waters, one who offers water oblations to the gods and the Pitris acquires the merit of donating a thousand kine.' ॥ 3-83-37 ॥
english translation
दण्डकारण्यम आसाद्य महाराज उपस्पृशेत गॊसहस्रफलं तत्र सनातमात्रस्य भारत ॥ ३-८३-३८ ॥
'Upon arriving at the sacred forest of Dandaka, one should bathe in its waters. By doing so, O king, one immediately attains the merit of donating a thousand kine, O Bharata.' ॥ 3-83-38 ॥
english translation
शरभङ्गाश्रमं गत्वा शुकस्य च महात्मनाः न दुर्गतिम अवाप्नॊति पुनाति च कुलं नरः ॥ ३-८३-३९ ॥
'Upon reaching the ashram of Sarabhanga and that of the illustrious Shuka, one gains immunity from misfortune and sanctifies their lineage.' ॥ 3-83-39 ॥

ततः शूर्पारकं गच्छेज जामदग्न्य निषेवितम राम तीर्थे नरः सनात्वा विन्द्याद बहुसुवर्णकम ॥ ३-८३-४० ॥
'Then, one should proceed to Shurparaka, where the son of Jamadagni once resided. By bathing in Rama's tirtha, one attains the merit of generously giving away gold.' ॥ 3-83-40 ॥
