कृत्तिका मघयॊश चैव तीर्थम आसाद्य भारत अग्निष्टॊमातिरात्राभ्यां फलं पराप्नॊति पुण्यकृत ॥ ३-८२-४६ ॥
'Then, by proceeding to the tirtha of Krittika and Magha, one, O Bharata, attains merit greater than that of the Agnistoma and Atiratra sacrifices.' ॥ 3-82-46 ॥
english translation
ततः संध्यां समासाद्य विद्या तीर्थम अनुत्तमम उपस्पृश्य च विद्यानां सर्वासां पारगॊ भवेत ॥ ३-८२-४७ ॥
'The man who visits the sacred tirtha known as Vidya and bathes there in the evening will gain proficiency in all forms of knowledge.' ॥ 3-82-47 ॥
english translation
महाश्रमे वसेद रात्रिं सर्वपापप्रमॊचने एककालं निराहारॊ लॊकान आवसते शुभान ॥ ३-८२-४८ ॥
'One should spend a night at Mahasrama, which has the power to eliminate all sins, while partaking of a single meal. By doing so, one attains numerous auspicious realms and delivers ten generations before and ten generations after his lineage.' ॥ 3-82-48 ॥

षष्ठ कालॊपवासेन मासम उष्य महालये सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा विन्द्याद बहुसुवर्णकम ॥ ३-८२-४९ ॥
'By residing at Mahalaya for a month and observing a fast for three nights, one’s soul is purified of all sins, and one gains the merit equivalent to generously donating gold in abundance.' ॥ 3-82-49 ॥
english translation
अथ वेतसिकां गत्वा पिता मह निषेविताम अश्वमेधम अवाप्नॊति गच्छेच चौशनसीं गतिम ॥ ३-८२-५० ॥
'Then, having gone to Vetasika, which was frequented by the grandsire (Pitamaha), One obtains the merit of an Ashwamedha sacrifice and attains the state of Ushanas.' ॥ 3-82-50 ॥
