अथ माहेश्वरीं धारां समासाद्य नराधिप अश्वमेधम अवाप्नॊति कुलं चैव समुद्धरेत ॥ ३-८२-१०१ ॥
'Arriving next, O lord of the earth, at the stream known as Maheswari, one attains the merit of the horse-sacrifice and redeems one's own lineage. Proceeding thereafter to the celestial tank, one secures freedom from misfortune and also the merit of the horse-sacrifice.' ॥ 3-82-101 ॥

atha mAhezvarIM dhArAM samAsAdya narAdhipa azvamedhama avApnòti kulaM caiva samuddhareta ॥ 3-82-101 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिवौकसां पुष्करिणीं समासाद्य नरः शुचिः न दुर्गतिम अवाप्नॊति वाजपेयं च विन्दति ॥ ३-८२-१०२ ॥
'A man who, having reached the celestial lake (Pushkarini), remains pure, does not fall into a state of misfortune and attains the rewards of the Vajapeya sacrifice.' ॥ 3-82-102 ॥
english translation
divaukasAM puSkariNIM samAsAdya naraH zuciH na durgatima avApnòti vAjapeyaM ca vindati ॥ 3-82-102 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहेश्वर पदं गच्छेद बरह्म चारी समाहितः महेश्वर पदे सनात्वा वाजिमेधफलं लभेत ॥ ३-८२-१०३ ॥
'A dedicated brahmachari (one who practices celibacy and discipline) should go to the abode of Maheshwara (Shiva). After bathing at that holy place of Maheshwara, he shall obtain the merit of performing a horse sacrifice (Ashvamedha Yajna).' ॥ 3-82-103 ॥

mahezvara padaM gaccheda barahma cArI samAhitaH mahezvara pade sanAtvA vAjimedhaphalaM labheta ॥ 3-82-103 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्र कॊटिस तु तीर्थानां विश्रुता भरतर्षभ कूर्मरूपेण राजेन्द्र असुरेण दुरात्मना हरियमाणाहृता राजन विष्णुना परभ विष्णुना ॥ ३-८२-१०४ ॥
'In that sacred tirtha, O bull of the Bharatas, it is well known that ten million holy places converge. A wicked Asura, in the form of a tortoise, had once attempted to carry it away. But the mighty Vishnu, O foremost of kings, reclaimed it through his great power.' ॥ 3-82-104 ॥

tatra kòTisa tu tIrthAnAM vizrutA bharatarSabha kUrmarUpeNa rAjendra asureNa durAtmanA hariyamANAhRtA rAjana viSNunA parabha viSNunA ॥ 3-82-104 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्राभिषेकं कुर्वाणस तीर्थकॊट्यां युधिष्ठिर पुण्डरीकम अवाप्नॊति विष्णुलॊकं च गच्छति ॥ ३-८२-१०५ ॥
'Yudhishthira, performing ablutions at Tirthakoti, Obtains the merit of (performing) the Pundarika sacrifice, And attains the realm of Vishnu.' ॥ 3-82-105 ॥

tatrAbhiSekaM kurvANasa tIrthakòTyAM yudhiSThira puNDarIkama avApnòti viSNulòkaM ca gacchati ॥ 3-82-105 ॥
