परियं सर्वे चिकीर्षामॊ राज्ञः किंकरपाणयः न चास्य शक्नुमः सर्वे परिये सथातुम अतन्द्रिताः ॥ ३-८-१६ ॥
'Princes, heed my counsel! We are all servants of King Duryodhana, ever devoted and attentive to his service. It is our duty to act in ways that please him.' ॥ 3-8-16 ॥

वयं तु शस्त्राण्य आदाय रथान आस्थाय दंशिताः गच्छामः सहिता हन्तुं पाण्डवान वनगॊचरान ॥ ३-८-१७ ॥
'Yet, due to our dependence on Dhritarashtra, we have not always been able to serve him with the promptness and zeal he deserves. Now, let us don our armor, take up our weapons, and set out together to defeat the Pandavas who dwell in the forest!' ॥ 3-8-17 ॥

तेषु सर्वेषु शान्तेषु गतेष अविदितां गतिम निर्विवादा भविष्यन्ति धार्तराष्ट्रास तथा वयम ॥ ३-८-१८ ॥
'Once the Pandavas are subdued and set off on an unknown journey, both we and the sons of Dhritarashtra will find peace.' ॥ 3-8-18 ॥

यावद एव परिद्यूना यावच छॊकपरायणाः यावन मित्र विहीनाश च तावच छक्या मतं मम ॥ ३-८-१९ ॥
'As long as they remain in distress, suffering, and lacking support, we will be their equal! This is my counsel!' ॥ 3-8-19 ॥

तस्य तद वचनं शरुत्वा पूजयन्तः पुनः पुनः बाढम इत्य एव ते सर्वे परत्यूचुः सूतजं तदा ॥ ३-८-२० ॥
'Hearing the words of the charioteer's son, the princes applauded him repeatedly, ultimately exclaiming, "Very well!"' ॥ 3-8-20 ॥
