परियं सर्वे चिकीर्षामॊ राज्ञः किंकरपाणयः न चास्य शक्नुमः सर्वे परिये सथातुम अतन्द्रिताः ।। ३-८-१६ ।।

sanskrit

'Princes, heed my counsel! We are all servants of King Duryodhana, ever devoted and attentive to his service. It is our duty to act in ways that please him.' ।। 3-8-16 ।।

english translation

pariyaM sarve cikIrSAmò rAjJaH kiMkarapANayaH na cAsya zaknumaH sarve pariye sathAtuma atandritAH || 3-8-16 ||

'Yet, due to our dependence on Dhritarashtra, we have not always been able to serve him with the promptness and zeal he deserves. Now, let us don our armor, take up our weapons, and set out together to defeat the Pandavas who dwell in the forest!' ।। 3-8-17 ।।

vayaM tu zastrANya AdAya rathAna AsthAya daMzitAH gacchAmaH sahitA hantuM pANDavAna vanagòcarAna || 3-8-17 ||

teSu sarveSu zAnteSu gateSa aviditAM gatima nirvivAdA bhaviSyanti dhArtarASTrAsa tathA vayama || 3-8-18 ||

tasya tada vacanaM zarutvA pUjayantaH punaH punaH bADhama itya eva te sarve paratyUcuH sUtajaM tadA || 3-8-20 ||
